Are you missing on converting your website visitors into revenue generating traffic?
Here are some points and questions for you to check and see if you are doing some mistake:
- Do you have relevant, interesting content for the visitors(hence more chance of ad clicks)
- Have you spent sufficient time in identifying position of the ads. Ideally the ads should be placed in such a way that they don’t obstruct the flow of user’s readability of content
- Have you identified the high traffic pages of your site. Sometimes its better to see if a search box or link ads are better options rather plain textual ads on these pages
- Have you reviewed and analysed which ad sizes and color schemes work the best for your site. Test for best ads combinations – Contrasting ads or Complementing ads or Blending ads
- Be sure to keep yourself upto date with Adsense new features and tools
- Although its tough to do but you need to keep experimenting with different ad formats, colors and placements till you can find the best balance.
- Have you closely monitored the adsense reports. These reports provide very useful data which can be used for improvement of ads thereby increasing click rate and revenue
Like any other business or work there is no short cut when it comes to earning revenue from your site. Don’t expect immediate results. Keep posting good quality content on regular basis.
