Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook recently said that he wants young children to use Facebook and this has led to a worldwide debate about the good and bad points of social networking sites specially for young children.
I asked some parents about their views and they had mixed opinion on this.
Most parents felt that children specially below 13 can’t understand the finer points of using sites like Facebook and are prone to Cyber Bullying etc.
Some parents felt that it helped their child stay in touch with their long distance friends.
Those parents whose children had Facebook accounts said that they closely monitor their child’s online activities.
