What is Queensland 489 state sponsorship?
The 489 is a provisional visa, which is valid for four years from the date of grant.
489 Holders in Queensland must live outside of the greater Brisbane area and the Gold Coast.
The conditions of a 489 include that you must live, study and work in regional and low population growth metropolitan area and comply with any residential conditions specified by the State or Territory government in your nomination.
How to get Australian PR?
A 489 has a pathway to permanent residency(PR)
To progress to permanent residency through the subclass the 489 holder must:
1. live in a specified regional area of Australia for at least two years after the grant of the 489 and before expiry of 489.
2. Work full time for 12 months in a specified regional area of Australia.
