Can I invest in Australian residential real estate and get visa/ permanent residency?
With recent Australian government notifications the answer to this question is “NO”.
Direct investments in residential real estate, will not be considered a complying significant investment for a Significant Investor visa or complying premium investment for a Premium Investor visa.
For applicants who apply from 1 July 2015, the government intends that indirect investment in residential real estate will be limited to less than 10% of a vehicle’s net assets.
