The TOEFL test is the most widely accepted English-language assessment worldwide, recognised by more than 9,000 institutions in more than 130 countries.
But is it accepted in Australia?
In a recent development, international graduates and skilled migrants seeking an accounting skills assessment will be able to use their TOEFL® test scores from 1 November to demonstrate English proficiency.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Public Accountants and CPA Australia have announced they have accepted the TOEFL test, helping Australia address the current skills shortage in the accounting profession.
Adoption of the TOEFL test puts the accounting profession in line with the forthcoming skilled migration regulations changes, accommodating the choices of skilled migrants and international graduates who wish to attain an accounting accreditation.
