UTS-backed business incubator ATP Innovations (ATPi) been listed near the top of 25 university incubators worldwide by the University Business Incubator Index (UBI), a global best practice benchmarking group.
ATPi this week ranked fourth according to the UBI Index, which assesses more than 300 university-affiliated business incubators in 67 countries on performance categories including value to the ecosystem, value to startup clients and attractiveness of the incubator program.
UTS holds a 25 per cent stake in ATPi, alongside the Australian National University, the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales.
More than 300 software, hardware and life science startups have been helped by ATPi since 2000.
