SkillSelect – Australia’s skilled migration program was launched on 1 July 2012 with a view of streamlining visa application processes and improving the employment prospects of skilled migrants through better management of those eligible to apply, how they apply, and when they apply.
Its an Online Resource that enables skilled workers and business people interested in migrating to Australia to record their details so they can be identified for a skilled visa through an expression of interest (EOI).
SkillSelect allows the Australian Government to control who, when and in what numbers applications are made for points-based skilled migration. It also allows state and territory governments to select the most suitable business and skilled migrants to meet their requirements.
The next invitation round in SkillSelect is on Monday 10 March, 2014. Make sure your EOI is up-to-date and you have evidence to meet the claims you made in your EOI. www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/
