“Understanding Common Diseases” free online course would be provided by The University of Wollongong (UOW) under a new partnership with massive open online course (MOOC) provider, Open2Study which is a new initiative from the experienced online provider Open Universities Australia.
The course is aimed for anybody who cares about their health, and provides comprehensive research and science-based information on some of the most commonly occurring health issues in the community.
Open2Study courses are split into four-week modules. Each module covers 4 topics, and each topic is taught with a series of short videos (usually about 5-10 minutes) with a quiz at the end of each topic. There are also online discussion forums for discussing the materials, with online support by Open2Study’s professional online facilitators.
