You were very Happy that its quite easy to migrate to Australia and you would get your EOI(Expression of Interest) accepted as you are Chemical Engineer or a Software Programmer.

The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) recently made an announcement according to which state and territory governments won’t be able to nominate people from the following occupations:
Chemical and Materials Engineers;
ICT Business and Systems Analysts;
Electronics Engineers;
Telecommunications Engineering Professionals;
Other Engineering Professional; and
Software and Applications Programmers.
