Our client is a specialist in providing botanical studies in WA. Working for a leading environmental consultancy you will be involved in many major resource development and mining projects.
Looking for a Senior Invertebrate and Vertebrate Zoologist. You will lead, manage and develop the vertebrate zoology team, attract clients, liaise with government and other stakeholders.
You will have experience in:
- Tertiary qualification in Zoology, Terrestrial Ecology or similar
- Approximately 6 or more years of relevant industry or government agency experience in a senior or manager level
- Technical field survey expertise and extensive knowledge of native vertebrate fauna
- Experienced in fauna studies
- Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements
- Proficient in MS Office tools.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and team orientated supervisor who has the ability to coordinate the day to day activities of the Primate section. You will have a leadership style that encourages and develops your team, provides advice and manages challenges in a calm and professional manner.
During the period of this contract there will be several international transactions occurring as well as important animal introductions. Demonstrated experience in managing complex primate husbandry issues and logical problem solving is highly desired.
In addition, the successful candidate needs to lead the team through the transition to a Government Officers award/agreement. This will be an exciting time of change for the Life Sciences Directorate and will be at the forefront of business.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday and reports directly to the Curator Operations.
