In a collaboration between the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the School of Human Life Sciences, a group of first-year nursing students have teamed up with final-year exercise science students who are dragging them away from their computers three times a week to train for the upcoming Launceston 10 footrace.
This provides opportunity for exercise science students to apply the skills they have learnt throughout their degree and at the same time help to inform future nurses about the benefits of regular exercise and the role that university trained exercise professionals can play
