All Play and No Work
Did you skip work to watch The Indian Premier League (IPL)? If yes, then you are not alone. According to a global survey, during any major sporting events, employees skip work to catch the action. It could be Cricket or Hockey in India and Soccer in other countries but sports has a significant impact on attendance at work. Can employers do anything to prevent this? Perhaps the only option available is to allow flexible work hours – allowing employees to work from home.
