Undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses at Flinders University have experienced strong demand in 2015.

The most popular study areas among undergraduate applicants were the health sciences, education, the creative arts, and law and justice. The courses experiencing highest demand include Paramedic Science, Nursing, Education, Midwifery, Criminology, Psychology (Hons), Law, and Arts.

With the high levels of interest, ATAR school-leaver entry scores exceeded 90 for many courses such as Speech Pathology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Midwifery, Law and Legal Practice (ordinary and honours), Science (Hons) Enhanced, Optometry, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedic Science, and Honours Science degrees in Biotechnology, Marine Biology/Aquaculture and Computer Science, along with enhanced Arts and Science (Honours), and Biomedical Engineering degrees.

The most popular engineering degrees included Civil, Mechanical and Biomedical, while the top IT courses were Computer Science and Digital Media. Offers for Biomedical Engineering increased by 60 per cent.

Flinders will welcome students in new courses that include Community Services and Tourism Management, as well as fashion and visual majors in Creative Arts.

Several of the new courses are being offered as dual awards with TAFE SA, and entry to Flinders through the Vocational Educational Training (VET) stream offers an important alternative to school entry.

The most popular postgraduate courses include Social Work, Nursing, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Audiology and Teaching.
