It’s not Google but Baidu is China’s largest web search engine

China’s biggest internet search engine, Baidu, has been launched in Sydney, creating widespread opportunities for NSW companies to sell directly on-line into Chinese markets worth millions of dollars.

It has 508 million regular users who generate up to six billion searches a day, making it one of the top five websites in the world.

Choosing Sydney as the hub of its Australia and New Zealand activities opens up on-line Baidu to NSW suppliers wanting to link with customers on one of the most financially active sites in the world.

Internationally-recognised NSW sectors like education, financial services, health and medical, Telco and tourism are expected to benefit from the streamlined conduit Baidu offers into China’s established and emerging markets

Baidu has appointed Belimark as its official regional agent in Australia and New Zealand.
