Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane) – Electrical Engineering, Computer Science PhD Scholarships

QUT’s Science and Engineering Faculty (SEF) is offering multiple PhD Top Up scholarships that will support research in robotics, autonomous systems and computer vision. These top-up scholarships will be offered to exceptional candidates who receive Australian Postgraduate Award (APA), QUT-Postgraduate Research Award (QUT-PRA), Women Re-Entry Scholarship (WRE), Indigenous Postgraduate Research Award or International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS).

The value of these top-up scholarships is AU$10,000 each (per annum, tax exempt).  The award is to be used to support living expenses and is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

The main areas of research include:

Robotic Vision,
Agricultural Robotics,
Robotics in Neuroscience,
Field, Aerial, Marine, and Bio-inspired Robotics.

Eligibility/Application criteria:

Applicants must be a domestic student (Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen) with an APA, QUT-PRA, WRE, IPRA or an international student that has been awarded an IPRS. Recipients must also have a Bachelor degree with Honours 1 or 2A, or equivalent from a recognised institution. In judging equivalence, QUT may consider previous study, other research experience, research publications, referees’ reports and relevant work experience.
Only international students that have been awarded an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship or QUT-Higher Degree Research Tuition Fee Sponsorship can apply.
